He had ten tiny fingers
and such cute little toes;
pink, rosey cheeks,
and a sweet little nose.

An innocent babe,
such a delight to behold,
yet the coming of this child
had long been foretold.

For He was the Messiah,
the Redeemer of man,
conceived through the Spirit,
part of God's plan.
Years passed and He grew,
then in love He reached out.
The miracles He worked
should have left little doubt.

That this was God's Son,
no ordinary man He;
sent forth to deliver,
to pardon, set free.
He spoke of new life;
and showed others the way
to be granted forgiveness;
receive salvation that day.

But many were deaf
to the truth of God's Word.
They had ears to listen
yet their hearts never heard.

His ministry on earth
brought Him not man's esteem,
for many would reject
that their souls He'd redeem.
Still He gave up His life;
bore man's guilt; suffered shame.
Obeying His Father,
The Sacrificial Lamb He became.

His life's blood poured out
for the redemption of sin;
yet He conquered even death
when He arose once again.

Now salvation is promised
to all who'll believe;
eternal life offered
if the Son they'll receive.

The gift of God's Son
sent from Heaven above;
from the cradle to the cross
the story of God's love.

God gave us the most wonderful gift He could ever give... the gift of His Son, Jesus.  It is through Him that we have peace with God and hope of eternal life with Him forever.  In Luke 19:10 Jesus says, "For the Son of man (Jesus) is come to seek and to save that which was lost."  Now I must ask you... have you received this gift?  If not, then what are you waiting for?  "Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (2 Corinthians 6:2)
Father,

We thank You for all You have done for us.  Your love and great mercy is more than we can even comprehend.   Lord, You alone know the deepest needs of each person that visits this site.  I pray that You will minister to each one as they have need.  Where there is sickness and hurt, may You release healing.  Where there is emptiness and loneliness, may You be that friend that sticketh closer than a brother.  Where there is hopelessness, may You speak peace and hope.  May those who have never asked You into their hearts or have grown distant from You perhaps, be drawn close by Your Holy Spirit and Your truth revealed to them.  Thank You, Lord, for loving us and more than anything we thank You for the gift of your Son, Christ Jesus, for it is in His most precious name we pray... Amen.

El Shaddai

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El-Elyon na Adonia,
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkamka na Adonai,
We will praise and lift You high,
El Shaddai.

Through your love and through the ram,
You saved the son of Abraham;
Through the power of your hand,
Turned the sea into dry land.
To the outcast on her knees,
You were the God who really sees,
And by Your might,
You set Your children free.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El-Elyon na Adonia,
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkamka na Adonai,
We will praise and lift You high,
El Shaddai.

Through the years You've made it clear,
That the time of Christ was near,
Though the people couldn't see
What Messiah ought to be.
Though Your Word contained the plan,
They just could not understand
Your most awesome work was done
Through the frailty of Your Son.

El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
El-Elyon na Adonai,
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkamka na Adonai,
I will praise and lift You high,
El Shaddai.

Hi There Friend...the joy of the Lord to you!

Although it has been over a year since I've added a page to this site, my poetry and sharing them still remain very important to me.  I wrote the poem on this page, From The Cradle To The Cross, a couple of years ago... actually, many of you who know me personally have already read it before because I used it as a Christmas card in 2005...lol.  This is one that I am particularly fond of because it reminds me and others that Christmas goes much deeper than tinsel and toys and even the birth of Jesus...  that is only the beginning of God's wonderful story of love for His people and His plan to bring us back to Him.  I pray you are as blessed by this page as I am in sharing it with you.

May you have the best Christmas ever as you keep Him in the center of your life today and everyday !  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you always.

Love, joy and peace in Jesus,
Sherry
