Father, I know that without You, this page would not be possible for it is Your gift to me that allows me to express what is on my heart. Thank you Lord for seeing me through the difficult times and for always reaching out and lifting me up when I call out to You. Hi Friend ~ The joy of the Lord to YOU! When a close friend's mother passed away, I knew the pain that she was experiencing first hand.. it was one of those, "been there, done that" situations. Even though my own mother had passed away almost seventeen years before, I still know the depth of the pain that is involved when you lose someone you care so very much for. They say time heals all wounds.. it may smooth it over some and it may not be in your face everyday.. but there are still and will always be certain things or special days when you feel all too well the same pain you did when you first lost your loved one. Praise God that He has given us His Comforter to see us through the hurting moments in our lives. The inspiration behind this poem was the loss of my mother. It was written for Jane Watson, my friend and pastor's wife, when she lost her own mother. May the Lord be with each of you who have loved ones that have gone on before you.
