Shattered and broken
I kneel before Your throne.
Too weary from battle
To stand on my own.

I need Your peace, Lord,
A touch from above.
I need to enter Your rest;
Feel the warmth of Your love.

From the God of my refuge
Tender mercies I implore.
Lord, I need You this hour
I can endure this no more.

My strength, it is failing;
My faith seems so weak.
Yet I know You'll sustain me
If I but continue to seek.

So I cry out Your name, Lord;
Lay it all at Your feet,
Trusting You'll carry me the distance
And let me know not defeat.

For I know where my hope lies;
It is only in You.
And You'll raise me in victory
With a strength that is new.

"not I, but Christ"
Galatians 2:20
Father of all mercy and grace,
I thank You for all that You have done in my life.  You are above all things and it is on bended knee that I come and bow down before You.  Lord, there is none as great as You and the love and compassion that You have shown me are without comparison.  Whenever I need You, You are there.  When I cry out your name, You are listening.  When I am overcome with weariness, You lift me up.  Father, You are so faithful and it is so reassuring to know that You will always come to my rescue in my time of need.  Lord, there are so many who are hurting this day... so many who may come to this site who are in despair and are needing just a glimmer of hope so that they can continue on in the good fight of faith.  I ask You, Father, to pour out your mercies upon them and to bless them and be their strength.  Whatever it is that they are in need of, Lord, You are the answer.  I ask that You just minister to each one as only You can do and that You lavish your love upon them in such a way that they need never feel lonely or defeated or hopeless again.  I thank You, Lord, that we can be confident that You hear every prayer and will always answer each one according to your good and perfect will for our lives.  Help us to grow in your love and to then show others the same love and compassion that You have shown us for we are here to know You and to make You known.  Blessed be your Holy name as we give all glory and honor and praise to You.
In Jesus' name we pray.. amen and amen.

The song playing is
YOU LIFT ME UP, O GOD

(Introduction)

(Verse 1)
When life is hard, and burdens rise,
In prayer You lift me up, O God.
When tears of sorrow fill my eyes,
In prayer You lift me up, O God.

(Chorus)
For I behold Your lovely face
And sense Your presence in this place;
I feel Your arms in sweet embrace.
In prayer You lift me up, O God.

(Verse 2)
When troubles come and cares abound,
In prayer You lift me up, O God.
When evil rages all around,
In prayer You lift me up, O God.

(Repeat Chorus)
For I behold Your lovely face
And sense Your presence in this place;
I feel Your arms in sweet embrace.
In prayer You lift me up, O God.

(Bridge)
In prayer my tears and burdens flee;
In prayer Your mercy covers me.
In prayer no foe has victory;
In prayer You lift me up.
For I behold Your lovely face
And sense Your presence in this place;
I feel Your arms in sweet embrace.
In prayer You lift me up!

(Modified Chorus)
O how I love Your lovely face!
I love Your presence in this place!
I love Your arms in sweet embrace!
In prayer You lift me up, O God.

(Ending)
Lift me up, O God...
Lift me up, O God...
Lift me up!

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Hi Friends...the JOY of the LORD to YOU !

It's been awhile since I've been able to add any new pages to my site here at Sherry's Heartbeats.  Sometimes, however, life just heads in all sorts of directions that you never expected and it takes time before it all starts getting back to some semblance of normal again.   Over the last several months the days have seen my father diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and having surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his stomach, my husband having knee surgery which was immediately followed by a stay in the hospital due to pneumonia, my 20 yr old son being deployed to Iraq, and other loved ones and myself undergoing many different kinds of attacks from satan.

You know, it can all just get a little overwhelming at times.  Aren't you glad, however, that we have Someone that we can call out to during those times when things are coming at us from every direction?  Someone that loves us so much that He promises that He will not ever leave us nor forsake us.  Someone who has provided a means of escape for every temptation that comes our way.  Someone who will fight for us when we are to weary to fight for ourselves.  Someone who shines His countenance down upon us and lights the way when the path seems so dark and obscure.  A Heavenly Father that gives us everything that we have need of to overcome the evils of this world and it's present suffering.  YES, we are MORE than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loved us and gave His life for us on Calvary.  He arose victorious just as He will also raise us up in that same blood bought victory.  This life with all it's twists and turns will soon be past and all the hardships that you and I have endured will have had their perfect work in us.  Soon we will reign with the King of Kings FOREVERMORE.  Aren't you glad?  I know that I sure am.

May the God of all mercy and hope reign supreme in your life and bless you as never before.  May His strength be your strength as you face the challenges of each new day and may He pour out His love upon you in such a way that you will never feel lost and alone again.  Remember, His grace IS sufficient.

Be totally blessed!
Love in Christ,
Sherry
