See the Rose among the thorns
The crowd below, a sign up above,
The ultimate sacrifice
Of a Father's great love.
See the Rose among the thorns
Droplets of blood trickling down.
Follow the path as they fall to below
Beginning at the spikes of a crown.

See the Rose among the thorns
The agony while gasping for air.
Nails that pierce, the ripping of flesh,
The scoffing of mockers there.

See the Rose among the thorns
Badly beaten, battered, betrayed.
Yet His love still intact, His voice cries out
For lost souls to be spared He prayed.
See the Rose among the thorns
The thickness of death in the air.
He gives up the Ghost, the work it is done,
And hope now replaces despair.
See the Rose among the thorns
The depth of love it conveys.
The price of a soul, a cost the Son paid
at Calvary one long, dark day.

See the Rose among the thorns
The keys to death and hell in His hand.
Undefiled He arose, yet the blood it still flows
Cleansing believers through faith as He planned.

"not I, but Christ"
Galatians 2:20
The death and resurrection of Jesus is found in all four of the Gospels of the Bible.  To read more of this on your own, begin in these chapters and read to the end of each book:
Matthew 16, Mark 14, Luke 18 and John 12.
Amazing Love
Never forget all that Jesus did and His great love for you.  I pray this song speaks to your heart.
My Lord what love is this?
That paid so dearly
That I, the guilty one, may go free.

Amazing love, oh what sacrifice
The Son of God, given for me
My debt He paid, and my death He died
That I, might live,
That I, might live.

And so, they watched Him die
Despised and rejected
But oh, the blood He shed, flowed for me

Amazing love, oh what sacrifice
The Son of God, given for me
My debt He paid, and my death He died
That I, might live,
That I, might live.

And now, this love of Christ
Shall flow, like rivers
Come wash, your guilt away,
And live again.

Amazing love, oh what sacrifice
The Son of God, given for me
My debt He paid, and my death He died
That I, might live,
That I, might live.

He was the Son of God.  The spotless, lamb of God.  The only one that could do what His Father asked of Him.  He went to the cross not for His own sins, for He was sinless; but, He shed His blood on the cross for our sins... your's and mine.  Our sin was the reason He was sent, but HE is the One who chose the nails.  He is the one who ultimately decided to take on our filth and let His innocent blood at Calvary cleanse us so that we could be reunited with Our Father.   He loves us that much.

Now I ask you this, has His suffering been in vain?  Have you accepted the finished work of the cross and let Him cleanse you from your sin?  Have you asked Him into your heart as Lord and Savior?  If not, then I ask you again, has His suffering been in vain?  Without accepting His work on the cross, asking for forgiveness, and receiving Him as Savior, then the answer to that question is yes.

But that can be changed.. now.. today.. forever.

Below are the links to two pages that can explain the gift of salvation to you. I pray you visit them and let the Lord speak to your heart.  He was The Rose among the thorns.  The thorns being the work of sin in the lives of those who did not know Him as Christ, the Messiah.  Let Him have His way in your life today and let not His suffering have been in vain.

Father, there is none like You.  You have loved us even when we were unlovable.  From the very moment that man fell into sin and away from your perfect plan, You have sought to bring us back home to You again.  Lord, we thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, that we might have a right standing before You once again.  We thank You for caring enough not to give up on us and to continue to reach out to us in love.  Help us, Lord, to continue on in this walk of faith that some of us have chosen. I ask you to have your perfect way in our lives and birth that desire within each of us to seek the Blesser and not just the blessings.  I ask You to continue to place witnesses before those who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  Draw them close with Your Holy Spirit, Lord.  I pray that You will bless those that visit this site, Father.  Let it be the means by which You touch the hearts and souls of others that they might know of Your great love for each of them.  We give you thanks in all things, Lord.  All glory, honor, and praise to Your most Holy name.  IN Jesus' name we ask these things... amen and amen.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."  Matthew 28:19, 20

Hi Friend ~ the joy of the Lord to you !

There is a burden on my heart.  A burden for those who are lost and do not know Jesus as their personal Savior.  There are those that I love and care for that need Jesus in their lives so much.  And as much as I want them to believe and follow Him, I know that ultimately it is their decision how they choose to live their lives.  They will always be in my heart and prayers, however.  I pray the Lord will continue to reach out to them and place others before them that He can use as a witness.

This page is to remind those who are already in Christ of how much Jesus gave for us.  It is also for those who have not yet made that committment... it is to give them something to think about.  May there never be one who can say, "I never knew because no one ever told me."

I pray the Lord uses this page as He sees fit and that His name will be glorified because of it.

May the Lord bless you exceedingly above all that you can even think to hope for.

Love in Christ,
Sherry
