Although your face cannot be seen
in the heavens on a starlit night,
You are a star, a reflection of Christ,
casting a most magnificent light.
The world has blinded many a man
and caused him not to see
The light of the gospel of Our Lord
which sets all mankind free.
Yet in the darkness a light shines forth
from deep within your heart
Which reaches out and offers hope
as God's message you impart.
Not merely a tiny flicker of light
but a powerful beacon bursts through
And many are saved from eternal death
when God's glory shines out of you.
So each time you turn your gaze upon
the millions of stars in the night
Remember that you are also a star
chosen to reflect a wondrous Light.

"not I, but Christ"
Galatians 2:20
The light of Jesus.. you've probably seen it in others before but may not have known just exactly what it was that made them stand out from all the others... it was a measure of faith.. faith in Jesus Christ as their savior.  You know, He loves you.. more than you'll ever know.  Click on me and let's have a little heart to heart about what it is that is missing in your life.
"If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:  Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made of himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.  Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed...not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence... continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life..."  Philippians 2:1-16
This page is dedicated to my dear friends at Zippidy.  Your love of Christ and compassion for others comes shining through as the brightest of stars found anywhere.  Thank you so much for all of the love and kindness you have shown me time after time.

May Our Lord bless each visitor to this site.  May those that are in need of salvation be drawn to the Father by the Holy Spirit and receive the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ.  May each person's life be filled with the love of God and may they reach out to others with that same love and compassion that our savior has shown to us.  Help us to become that light shining out of the darkness  to a lost and hurting world.  We give you all the honor, glory and praise ...In Christ Jesus' name we pray.... amen.

What else does Scripture have to
say about shining like stars?
Read what Paul wrote to the believers in Phillipi:
Hi Friend ~ The joy of the Lord to you !

The poem that is on this page was originally written for a Gideon Banquet honoring Pastors in our local area.  My own pastor, Rev. David Watson, was my inspiration in writing this.  He is a fine example of what God would have us to do in letting others see Jesus shining out of us at all times.

This just reminds me of a story I read one time that went something like this.  There was a church which did not have electricity but was lit by candles. Certain people within the church were responsible for holding a candle in specific places so that there would be light all around the room.  One evening a man who had been chosen to hold one of the candles decided that he would not go to church this one particular night.  He was tired, it had been a long day, and not only that but the temperature was steadily dropping that night and the long walk to the church and back home later would be a cold one.  It would be fine he said to himself.  No one would miss him and his one little candle.  There were still several others who would have candles and certainly with all the others there, the room would still have plenty of light.  But after awhile he decided that he would bundle up warmly and he and his one little candle headed to the church.  What the man did not know though was that he was not the only one who had been thinking of not going.  There were many others who had also been chosen and who had also said to themselves that the small amount of light their candle put out would never even be noitced if it were not there.  That evening as people began filing into the church, there was vast darkness all around the room... except for one corner... there sat the man with his one small candle ... lit and shining out brighter than ever as a beacon to all those around.

Often times we forget that as Christians we are that one, small light shining out to all those around us who are in spiritual darhness.   We cannot sit back and think that there are plenty of others around that are sharing the Word of God with those who are lost.   We are here for such a time as this.  There are hundreds of people that you will "rub elbows" with so to speak that others will never meet and God wants to use you to reach out to those around you.  Anyways, without getting preachy to you  ::::: smile :::: just remember to let that light of Jesus in you shine out to others.   It will make a difference.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Love in Christ,
